Country Fit Check: Riley Green

Country music is going from strength to strength across the world, and the reasons for it being so appealing are myriad. Whether it’s the storytelling in the songs, the emotions evoked at concerts or the vibes created, country singers are reaching new audiences. And it also helps when they are authentic, in the case of singers like Riley Green.

The Worst Way hit-maker is known for his down-home roots and simple and honest approach to music and life. This approach translates into Green’s fashion sense as well. Consider this a Riley Green fit check edition and how you can take inspiration from the man they call the Duck Man.

Shirts and Hoodies

When it comes to shirts, Green usually rocks snap-button Western shirts and embroidered yokes in a classic Americana look. The brands he favours are Wrangler, Panhandle Slim, Rowan and affordable shirts that showcase a practical and working man style sort of look.

For hoodies, Green has mentioned in interviews that he likes wearing Carhartt hoodies, particularly in grey. For him, they are road ready and comfortable.

Green has worn this shirt on stage at his shows. I put all my clothes in my closet, all my tennis shoes in my closet, but I got my cowboy boots along the wall on the floor in my bedroom for people to see them when they come in like that’s a plaque or something.”
